Be fooled no longer! Despite the deceptive wooden spoon and saute pan, these mushrooms are not home made. They were preconceived, premarinated and precooked by the good people at Stinky. I did reheat with a bit of rosemary and pepper, and added a touch of olive oil to cut on the vinegar. As part of my indulgent birthday weekend I went to Stinky twice to procure these little beauties. What makes this mix so great is the unusual assortment of fungi. No shiitake, no crimini, no porcini, no standard grocery store varieties. We’ve got straw mushrooms, namekos and another I can’t identify. Nice! I need to head to Chinatown to track down some of these.
