Nice ride

Williamsburg, as all of Brooklyn, was grey yesterday afternoon. It reminded me of the wedding day, when it was nearly about to rain at every moment. We’re coming up on our first anniversary…another point in time to mark time’s passing.
I enjoy Williamsburg, the broken isolation and sweeping skyline views make it seem vast. Unless on Bedford Ave, where the strategically adorned transplants smile more than you might expect – where Williamsburg is cozy.
We spent a good chunk of the day contemplating wood, stains, bolts and bases. A project is in the works, made up of parts from many states. We’ll be debuting in August.
And here’s a new chocolate, that gets kudos for packaging, picked up at Marlow and Sons. The Mast Brothers Chocolate website is fun – would have liked to listen in on the design discussions. I’m particularly taken by the wooded square background and old-timey B&W videos.
Making things is cool.

Another great photo! Williamsburg brings back great childhood memories of visiting my uncle Stanley’s hat store. So much fun folding boxes and trying on hats…
Mo should check them out next time he needs head gear: http://bencraft.com. If my cousin Steven is around, tell him “Miriam” sent you!
Just forwarded him the link. Thanks for the tip! If you ever visit I want to get the Miri tour of Brooklyn.
