The guy there on the left is Mo, which if you’ve been reading this blog the last several weeks you’d more than recognize. Next to him is Bill, who’s half of the traveling duo that decided to join us for a 4th of July road trip to Montreal. I love everything in this photo:

  • Managing to capture an inside (non staged) action shot with my jank ass point and shoot and almost entirely avoiding blur
  • The setting – a kitschy little coffee shop in the Plateau neighborhood. I don’t remember the name
  • Mo’s order – fizzy water and an espresso, which pretty much sums up his daytime beverage roster
  • It includes the binder clip, which after much debate I’ve reluctantly agreed is the best money holding device – for boys
  • The fact that Bill is holding his beverage so high, as if his sip was suddenly interrupted by an attention-grabbing ruckus in Mo’s lap
  • Mo’s uncertain look, as if trying to avoid acknowledgement of the ruckus (I’m going to button my shirt and hope we can all just move on)

Not pictured is Alison, who reliably causes a ruckus wherever she goes.
